Babies, lack of space, and the clinic stove lives again!

Three babies came into the world in Nata last night.  One of the mothers gave birth at home so was unable to utilize the PMTCT program during labor.  Nurses did encourage her to test so she would know whether it was safe to breastfeed her baby.  Sr. Nurse Gaowkale had three young women in the post delivery room and had to use a bed as a desk to document their treatment.  You might remember that the clinic stove was broken and we were taking our instruments 100km away to Gweta for sterilization.  Mr. Khupe, one of the clinic drivers, recently repaired the stove and the sterilizer is once again in use.  Way to go Mr. Khupe! With three births last night, there was plenty for Rebecca to do as the instruments had to be sterilized once again.
