Station Commander Mr Kevin Mookodi says good bye to nata village

 

Mr. Mookodi has protected and worked in Nata Village as the Station Commander for a year and a half. Mr. Mookodi is responsible for the well being of the Publics safety in and around Nata Village.  This includes, Zoroga, Manxotai, Sepako and Maposa.  His duties as station commander are keeping the peace all around the sorrounding Villages, discipline of his officers, and reporting all work accomplishments to his superior.  Nata Village has greatly benefited from his law enforcement experience. Mr Mookodi has been transfered to Gaborone, the capital of Botswana.  We wish him well on his new challenge.

Nata clinic has a new sign

 

Nata clinic was the center of attention whey the clinic received a new sign directing the public in the right direction. Now, the whole village including tourist can find their way to emergency medical attention. The sign was made possible by the local Business people, Student nurses, Nata clinic, and the Orphan Trust. Working together to accomplish another community project.

Student nurses say good bye to Nata clinic

 

The student nurses are finally done with their four months of training in Nata Villag. Before their departure the student nurses decided to build a mission statement pillar in front of the clinic. The students will attend classes for approximately five more months, before they actually become register nurses at Nyangabwe referral hospital, located in Francistown. With the staff's assistance and training at Nata clinic the student nurses will do an excellent job in their final report. The staff at Nata clinic wishes well in their medical work adventures.

Dimakatso Tsaone Dube says goodbye to Natavillage:(

 

Ms. Dube has been working with the Natavillage community members for approximately one year. During her time in Natavillage she was the Prevention of Mother to Child(BONEPWA) Site Facilitator. Ms. Dube was responsible for the supervision of daily activities performed by her co-workers(Peer Mothers) in the prevention of mother to child program, as well as project reporting on a monthly basis. Ms. Dube offered counseling services to clients referred by her co-workers and discussed facts about PMTCT, HIV/AIDS. Furthermore, Ms. Dube facilitated the evening support groups with their partners. During Ms. Dube's one year work performance she and her co-workers manage to register 97 patients on PMTCT and 44 pregnant mothers who tested negative. Ms. Dube's co-workers(Peer Mothers) always counsel patients during their door to door visits, health talks at the work place on safe sex and family planning, adherence to PMTCT and ARV protocol, encouraging baby testing, joining support groups, partner testing, and lastly giving knowledge on basic facts and assisting patients in making better and safer decisions. Ms. Dube will be missed at Nata clinic. All the staff and friends wish her well in her next move to help her fellow citizens of Botswana.

NATA RIVER

During the hot summers Nata River becomes a drinking water hole for the domestic and wild life that share the community river, as well as a swimming hole for the young children to enjoy during the hot days. When the rains come, in just a couple of weeks, this beautiful lomg river will become a ragging and roaring majestic river. No person or animal will be able to swim across. Nata River starts in Hwange National Park located in Zimbabwe and it drains directly into the Nata Delta(Sowa Pans). At one point or another Nata Delta will be completely cover with a sea of wild Flamingos coming to enjoy the salty water and migrate.
