NATA WELCOMES NEW PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEER
Mz Akinyi Zmirrah Shapiro (a.k.a. Motlalepula,”one who comes with rain” or blessing”) is the new Peace Corps Volunteer based in Nata.She arrived in mid – June and has been engrossed in working and establishing projects at Nata Senior Secondary School, mainly working with the “ life skills” curriculum. She hopes to establish a strong connection between the Nata Clinic and the community at large with particular emphasis on the HIV prevention programme, and welcomes all Nata and surrounding area residents to come to her with any ideas they may have for this program during her time here
The Nata Aids and Orphans Trust has outstanding projects which have been shelved for some time now and it is hoped that with her expertise and assistance these can be re – embarked upon.
