Thanks so much to the first
donors of this blog!!! The clinic has received 1200 Pula (about
$240) and they are meeting to discuss their plans for the money.
So far, most of the staff wants to buy chairs and benches as the patients
do not have enough places to sit while they wait for the Doctor and
the Nurses to see them. Many of our patients are weak and they
need a comfortable place to sit while they wait. The final decision
will be made this week so we will let you know. The entire clinic
wishes to thank the donors.

Ten years ago I spent 6 months in South Africa, and towards the end of my trip, traveled to Botswana and Zimbabwe. Those few days in Botswana will stay with me always. From the students we met on the bus, so helpful in guiding us to the right train station, to the guides in the Okavango, to the mechanics and truck drivers who gave us rides up to Victoria Falls. The people of Botswana were so welcoming and warm. Such an amazing place.
