Patients arrive at the Nata clinic.
Dr. Rodger and Senior Nurse
Mpoki went to a meeting at the ARV (anti-retroviral) clinic yesterday
in Gweta (60 miles from Nata) and came back with some disturbing news.
It appears the ARV patients in Nata are not adhering to the treatment
at the same rate as those that live nearer to the clinic in Gweta.
Nata currently has 170 patients on ARV treatment. This is a very serious
issue as drug resistance can easily occur if the medication is stopped.
Dr. Rodger and Mpoki are trying to explain that transportation is a
serious issue and many of the patients are unable to reach the clinic
(either too weak or no funds). Even if a patient takes public
transportation, the bus rank is two miles away from the hospital and
weaker patients are unable to walk that distance. With donations
from this website, we will be paying the bus fare ($4 per patient) for
those patients that are strong enough (but don’t have the funds) to
walk to the hospital from the bus rank. The clinic ambulances will be
reserved for those that are too sick to go on their own.
We also found out that the woman who was crying last week due to lack of transport is HIV positive. She lives in Maposa which is 10 miles on a dirt track from Nata. Reggie has agreed to meet with her and encourage her to join Ntkwakgolo Support Group and they will help her with transport.

I take advantage of gamma blue 11s after it is specialized! We've perhaps displayed gamma blue 11s in the compacted snow however, if and may addressed with any protectant actually not so moistened snow...These sustain my tip toes fairly model!
