Before we show you the new chairs that arrived today at Nata Clinic we wanted you to see one of the old ones.  To be honest, we wanted to burn this chair but someone will actually use it somewhere else.  We don't throw anything away in Nata.  Sick patients have been using this chair with no back everyday at Nata Clinic.  Today, with donations from our Hong Kong crew, ten new chairs arrived along with cleaning supplies and office supplies.  Getting the chairs here was no small task.  The delivery was postponed twice and we are not very happy with our supplier Sefalana Hyper in Francistown for not delivering goods as promised.  We had a nice handing over ceremony planned and it had to be cancelled.  But, doing business in Africa is as they say here "just like that".  When an expat gets upset over some mishap the favorite expressions are the initials TIA or AWA which stands for "This is Africa" and "Africa wins again".   So, no nice handing over ceremony but we'll show you the items you purchased on our next post.  Thanks to all the Hong Kong donors!
