Pictured above (L-R) are Mr. Kgosi and Mr. Kedikilwe two of Nata Clinics five ambulance drivers. We say they are valiant for a number of reasons. When a person wants to try and secure a position as a driver for the government, they simply apply and have no idea where they will be placed. They could be placed in any number of positions such as with animal health, land board, district health team etc. When they become ambulance drivers, they receive no special first aid training or any other kind of extra education. These guys have seen an awful lot of terrible things but manage to keep smiling. They are often alone when they go to pick up a sick patient in the village. Without medical training, they have to get the person inside the ambulance and take them to the clinic. We want to recoginize the amazing efforts of all the Nata Clinic ambulance drivers. Job well done!
